Royal Railway Prioritizes Safety: Updates Along the Northern Railway

Royal Railway, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, is committed to passenger safety.  On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, under the guidance of HE Peng Po, Minister of Public Works and Transport, our professional teams conducted essential upgrades along the Northern Railway route, stretching from Phnom Penh Railway Station (Pk0 + 000) towards Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

These upgrades include:

Refreshed Railway Crossings: Improved markings and signage at railway crossings to enhance visibility and awareness for drivers and pedestrians.
Enhanced Traffic Sign Visibility: Ensuring traffic signs are clear and easily readable, providing crucial information for safe crossings.

We encourage everyone to prioritize safety by following these important guidelines:

1. Always yield to trains: Trains have the right of way at all railway crossings.
2. Look, listen, and wait: Before crossing, check traffic signs, signals, and listen for train sirens or horns.
3. Follow train guard instructions: Heed the instructions of train guards for safe crossing procedures.
4. Stay outside safety barriers: Remain outside designated safety barriers whenever a train is approaching.

Royal Railway remains dedicated to providing safe and reliable rail travel experiences for all.  Let's work together to ensure a safe and secure journey on the Northern Railway.
